Vikas Sharma was an Indian Journalist who worked as a news anchor with Republic Bharat. He is known for his prime time show Yeh Bharat Ki Baat Hain.
He was born and brought up in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
In 2004, he started his career as an announcer at All India Radio (AIR).
In 2005, he started working as an assistant producer in a software company S1 Corporation where he, where he worked for two years. Later, in 2006, he joined the news channel TV 100, where he worked as a producer and reporter.
In 2008, he resigned from TV 100 and joined Total TV as a producer, where he worked for one year. Later, in December 2008, he joined Sadhna News as a news anchor.
In March 2011, he left Sadhna News and joined Janata TV as a news anchor, where he worked for one year and two months.
In 2012, he joined India News as a news anchor, where he worked for almost two years. Later, in March 2014, he joined Samachar Plus as an anchor-cum-producer.
In 2019, he started working as a news anchor at ARG Outlier Media Private Limited (Republic Bharat).

On 4 February 2021, he died in Noida’s Kailash Hospital. Reportedly, he had been undergoing the COVID-19 treatment for a few days. Later, the managing director and editor-in-chief of Republic Media Network Arnab Goswami praised Vikas Sharma’s reporting style in the prime time show on Republic Bharat.
He was a spiritual person and loved to travel to places of religious significance.
