Srinivasa Reddy is an Indian actor, director, and producer, who is known for playing comic roles. He predominantly works in the Telugu film industry.
Srinivas started his career as a TV Anchor.
After making his debut with the Telugu film âIshtamâ (2001), he appeared alongside Ravi Teja in the film âIdiotâ (2002).

In 2002, he made his television debut with the Telugu show âAmrutham,â which aired on Gemini TV. In the show, he appeared in various episodes, playing different roles.
In 2004, he appeared in the Telugu film âVenky.â His performance as Suri Babu in the film âVenkyâ (2004) received huge appreciation from the audience.

His Tamil debut film âNaan Eeâ (2012) was also shot in the Telugu language under the title âEegaâ (2012).
In 2014, Reddy appeared in a lead role for the first time in the Telugu film âGeethanjaliâ (2014).
He appeared alongside Siddhi Idnani in the Telugu film âJamba Lakidi Pambaâ (2018) in which he played the lead role of Varun. He also worked as a co-producer for the film. In this film, Reddy featured his daughter, Aasrithi, who was one month old at that time.

Reddy made a special appearance in the TV reality show âBigg Boss Telugu Season 2â (2018), which aired on Star Maa.
In 2018, there were rumours of a rift between Reddy and the renowned actor Jr. NTR . Allegedly, this occurred due to comments made by Reddy when Jr. NTR met with an accident. In 2019, he worked as an actor, director, and co-producer for the Telugu film âBhagyanagara Veedullo Gamattu.â His performance as Srinu in the film received huge appreciation from the audience.
Some of his other Telugu films include âRoommatesâ (2006), âReadyâ (2008), âRama Rama Krishna Krishnaâ (2010), âAttarintiki Darediâ (2013), âAnando Brahmaâ (2017), âMugguru Monagalluâ (2021) and âWaltair Veerayyaâ (2023).
In an interview, Srinivasa Reddy revealed that at the beginning of his career, directors offered him only minor roles, so he decided to choose to play comedic characters to gain recognition in the film industry. While talking about this in the interview, he said,
They asked me to hold books, walk this side, look at the girl, walk that side and alight from the steps. I felt this was not what I was looking for in movies. That I made it finally is a different matter. Audience recognize you better if you are a comedian or a villain.â
The actor revealed in an interview that it took him several years to make a name for himself in the film industry. He said,
It takes at least five to ten years in the industry to settle down, you must keep hitting the fruit on the branch innumerable times..chances are that you will get it the fiftieth time.â
He is an avid dog lover.
