Rohit’s tryst with music began at a mere age of 5. He considers classical singing as his forte and has been taking lessons in Carnatic music since he was 10.
Rohit maintains a calm disposition and a shy outlook owing to his problem of ‘stammering.’ During one of the Indian idol episodes, he revealed that he has a habit of stammering while speaking. Though, the condition does not trouble him whatsoever while singing.
Prior to the auditions of Indian Idol Season 9, Rohit was having a very tough time at both personal and professional fronts. His mother was diagnosed with brain tumor and thus had to undergo an immediate surgery. Simultaneously, he was losing a lot of singing opportunities and once even thought of quitting.
He has sung some Tollywood songs and also has a personal youtube channel.
