Priyansh Arya started playing cricket with his friends at a young age.
When he told his parents that he wanted to play cricket professionally, their only requirement was that he should focus on his studies as well.
He started training under Sanjay Bharadwaj at the age of 7 and trained Gautam Gambhir , Joginder Sharma, Amit Mishra , and Unmukt Chand .

In the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT), he was the highest runscorer for Delhi with 222 runs at an average of 31.71 and a strike rate of 166.91.
He registered his name in the 2024 IPL auction for a base price of Rs 20 lakh, but went unsold.
He represented South Delhi Superstarz in the inaugural season of Delhi Premier League (DPL) in 2024 and made 608 runs in 10 innings with 2 centuries and 4 fifty-plus scores at a strike rate of 198.69.

In the 2025 IPL auction, Punjab Kings acquired him for Rs 3.80 crore (USD 450,000 approx.) against his base price of Rs 30 lakh.
