Some Lesser Known Facts About P. Vasu
P. Vasu’s family is from Nedumbal village in the Thrissur district of Kerala.
He was a good sportsman during his student days.
His father, Peethambaram was a prominent make-up artist who worked with actors like M. G. Ramachandran, Sivaji Ganesan, and NTR. He wanted Vasu to have a steady government job but agreed when he realised how passionate Vasu was about working in the film industry.
He dropped out of college to pursue his career in the film industry.
He started his career as an assistant director with C. V. Sridhar in 1978.

P. Vasu co-directed the first few films with director Santhana Bharathi. They parted ways as they wanted to follow different styles of filmmaking.

His first film as an independent director was Kathanayaka (1986) in Kannada language.
