  • Noor was inclined towards sports from a young age and had little interest in academics.

  • Apart from football, Noor used to watch volleyball and basketball matches also.

  • Noor represented India in the 1952 and 1956 Olympic Games.

  • Noor was doubtful about his selection in the team for the Melbourne Olympics but was later selected due to his consistent performances.

  • Noor represented India in three Asian Games (1951, 1954, and 1958) and went on foreign tours to the Philippines in 1954 and Russia in 1954-55.

  • Noor’s career took a sharp turn when he got injured badly during a match against the Mohammedan Club of Pakistan. He was not able to continue football for much longer after the incident and took retirement.

  • After retiring from football, Noor became an AIFF selector and started coaching young players.

  • After retiring from the police service, he spent his days in a small house in Osmanpura.
