Manolo helped CF Badalona to reach playoffs during his tenure at the club between 2010 and 2012.
Manolo was appointed as the manager of UD Las Palmas on 3 July 2017 after he was promoted to the third tier as champion with their B-team.

Manolo was sacked from the Croatian club NK Istra 1961 on 18 September 2018 after losing 6 out of 7 games in the initial phase of his tenure.
