She was a bright student in her childhood and participated in various school debates and cultural festivals.
Garima Singh is a well-known face in the media industry and has experience of more than 2 decades in the field.
In 2003, she started her professional career with Dainik Jagran, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. She covered politics, crime, and major news stories of the district. She was also the anchor of the local city channel for various shows. She worked there for two years.

In 2005, Garima joined Total TV as a crime reporter and covered major crime breakings & exclusive stories across Delhi NCR, which led the authorities/ministries to initiate appropriate actions.
In 2006, she was the lead reporter of the channel that covered the Noida serial murders case, also known as the Nithari Case. She was also present at the Samjhauta Express Train Bombings location (Panipat) and covered the news from the site in 2007.
In 2007, she covered a huge protest of more than 25 thousand tribals for the demand of Jal, Jangal aur Zameen, which lasted for 5 days in New Delhi. This coverage was also addressed by the Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh in the Lok Sabha in that same year.
On Total TV, she produced her show titled Thanedar (2007), where she presented exclusive crime stories covered by her. She worked for almost three years on Total TV.
In 2008, she joined the Live India news channel, New Delhi. She covered Aarushi Talwar ‘s murder case from the studio & ground zero for several months.
Garima Singh covered the Delhi Bomb Blast series in 2008. She was also an eyewitness. She also covered the Mumbai terrorist bomb attacks in 2008.
During her work tenure with Live India channel, Garima interviewed many Bollywood celebrities and politicians.
In 2012, Garima joined P7 News Channel, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She was appointed as the senior anchor and producer of various special shows on current political affairs.

She produced and anchored a show titled UP Ki Siyasat during the 2017 UP election.
At P7 News Channel, Garima covered the Bulandshahar gang rape case (2018) for her crime show Khulaasa.

In 2019, Garima joined Sahara Samay, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Garima handled the entire management of the newsroom, including the editorial, technical, sales, and marketing teams.

Garima conceptualised, designed, and executed various shows like Crime Record, Aap ki Baat, and Silver Screen.
In 2020, she reported on the Indo-China conflict from the site, which involved aggressive engagements between Chinese and Indian troops along the Sino-Indian border.
Garima joined News1 India, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in 2021. She was appointed as Consulting Editor. Her face-off interview with Rakesh Tikait  during the farmer protest (2021), went viral.
