Some Lesser Known Facts About Brijesh Solanki
Brijesh Solanki was born in a middle-class family in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
He liked playing kabaddi since his childhood and started training during his teenage years.

He later played in local kabaddi tournaments and won many awards.

In March 2025, he rescued a stray puppy from the street drain, but the puppy bit him. Brijesh thought it was a small injury and did not take a rabies vaccine.
On 26 June 2025, during a kabaddi practice session, he started feeling numbness in his hand. Later on 26 June 2025, he was taken to the Bulandshahr district hospital.
As his condition got worse, he was shifted to a private hospital in Noida. Between 26 and 27 June 2025, his family noticed symptoms like fear of water, which are signs of rabies.

During this time, according to his elder brother Sandeep Solanki, Brijesh was denied proper treatment in government hospitals in Khurja, Aligarh, and Delhi.
On 27 June 2025, doctors at the private hospital in Noida said that he might be suffering from rabies. Brijesh Solanki died during treatment on the same day.
His family had also admitted him in an Ayurvedic treatment centre in Mathura, where his condition improved slightly, but worsened again later.

After his death, Brijesh’s coach Praveen Kumar said that Brijesh had assumed the dog bite was a regular sports injury and did not take it seriously.
On 28 June 2025, Brijesh was cremated in his village, Farana, where many people gathered for his last rites.
Officials from the Public Health Department visited the village after his death to check if there was any other case of rabies.
His dream was to play in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL).
On 30 June 2025, local singer Abhay Bhati also released a song as a tribute.
