Azees was born and brought up in a middle-class family.

He was very active in his school extracurricular activities.
To brush up his acting skills, he joined professional theatre, and after that in 2013, he got a chance to appear in his debut Malayalam film Rebecca Uthup Kizhakkemala (2013).
Nedumangad has worked in more than 40 Malayalam films as a supporting actor. He has worked with many popular Malayalam film actors.
Azees is also known for his mimicry in comedy shows. Some of his comedy shows include Star Magic (2019), Onaupperi Season 3 (2019), Ithu Item Vere (2024), and Enkile Ennodu Para (2024).
He has appeared in many popular films including Kaanchi (2013), Monayi Angane Aanayi, Action Hero Biju (2016), Parole (2018), Gramavasees (2019), Minnal Murali (2021), Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022), Kannur Squad (2023), All We Imagine as Light (2024), and Vaazha – Biopic of a Billion Boys (2024).
In April 2017, Azees Nedumangad was assaulted by a group of people for coming late to a programme. During the attack, Azees suffered damage to his left eardrum which resulted in 70% hearing loss. He also got a serious injury on his left arm. On the doctor’s recommendation, Azees took six months rest after that incident.

Azees received great recognition after his film Gramavasees (2019). Although the film didn’t do well at the box office, but Azees performance was liked by the audience.
In 2022, Azees underwent a hair transplant treatment.

Azees Nedumangad often used to mimic the Malalayam actor Ashokan Chetan. However, in an interview in 2023, Ashokan expressed that he was not happy with the mimicry that Azees did. So, Azees decided not to mimic him in any of his future performances.
In an interview, he revealed that he didn’t attend the Cannes Film Festival (2024) due to the language barrier. He said he was unsure of how he would communicate with people from other countries.
Besides mimicry and acting, Azees also loves singing. He is good at playing a few musical instruments.
