Some Lesser Known Facts About Afzaal Khan
Afzaal Khan is an Indian actor who is popular for acting in many well-known Hindi TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2002), Kavach… Maha Shivratri (2019), and Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet (2021-2003).
Afzaal took a keen interest in acting since his school days; he participated in and won many accolades in numerous acting competitions in his school.

After completing graduation, Afzaal started taking care of his family business; however, he left his family business as it did not appeal to his interests.
In the late 1990s, he shifted from Lucknow to Mumbai to further his acting interest.
In 1999, he bagged a role in a Hindi film titled Tower House. His career failed to take off as the film did not perform well at the box office.
In 2001, he auditioned for the Hindi TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, produced by Ekta Kapoor , and got selected. In an interview, he talked about it and said,
I came to Mumbai and started looking for some good work and the I came to know there were auditions going on for some show called Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and my token number was 701, and they were looking for a character and I got the show and the character was spoilt brat the negative character and I was told that it was a 8-10 day character and I took that job.”
He received a remuneration of Rs. 1 lakh for working in the serial.
He was offered to act in another Ekta Kapoor-produced soap opera Kitne Kool Hai Hum, which premiered on Zee TV in 2001. During a media interaction, Afzaal claimed that he was approached by the producer herself after she was impressed by his acting in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Afzaal appeared in Kaash… Hamara Dil Pagal Na Hota, a 2003 Bollywood film.
He acted in the 2006 Hindi TV serial Sanskar.
He acted in eleven episodes of Savdhaan India: Crime Alert, a 2012 Hindi-language crime show.

In C.I.D. Chhote Heroes, a 2013 Hindi TV show, Afzaal Khan appeared as Jagdish.
In 2007, he landed a role in the Hindi TV show C.I.D.; he went on to essay several roles in the show till 2014.
He essayed the role of a villainous character named Munna Mama in the 2015 Hindi soap opera Piya Rangrezz.

In Vish Ya Amrit: Sitara, a 2018 soap opera, Afzaal played the role of Atharv Singh Rathore.
From 2021 to 2023, he appeared as Ram Ahlawat in the Hindi daily soap Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet.
In the Hindi daily soap Suhaagan, Afzaal Khan appeared as Madan; the show premiered on 2 May 2023 on Colors TV. He talked about how he got the role of Madan, in an interview, and said,
I got a call from the production house. So since I am always in search of doing something different, I gave sent an audition clip to them and they liked it and after a few days I was selected.”
Afzaal Khan shared during a media interview that he had to stop acting for a while because some individuals attacked him with knives and attempted to steal from him. He talked about the incident and said,
I met an accident when I was coming back from the shoot and some people tried to robbed me and they stabbed me and there was a down fall where I had to take a break for 5 to 6 months and suddenly you are at peak and you have a down fall and I had to struggle again and after break it took time to be back on peak and I met Ekta Kapoor again and she offered me another show.”
Afzaal Khan once revealed that he would have pursued a career as a chef, had he not pursued a career in acting.
