The wait of entire India was over when after five years of marriage, India’s beloved cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni were blessed with a little angel. She blossomed the Dhoni family on 6 February 2015 at Gurgaon’s Fortis Hospital.

However, Dhoni was not present in India at the time of Ziva’s birth. He was preparing to face West Indies in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, and he wasn’t carrying a cell phone with him. Sakshi informed Suresh Raina about the birth of their baby girl and asked him to pass over the message to Dhoni.

After around two months of long wait, M.S. Dhoni met her daughter at Ranchi Airport and tried his best to escape her from the media.

In an interview, Dhoni talked about the meaning of his daughter’s name and said that Ziva is a Hebrew name, which is normally a first name of a female, and it means light, brilliance, brightness, and light of God.
