Some Lesser Known Facts About Yogesh
Yogesh Tunda is a member of the Gogi Gang.
In December 2021, Yogesh was attacked by a rival gang and lost sensation in one hand, that is where he got his nickname, Tunda. A jail official narrated the incident to a media house.
Reportedly, Yogesh Tunda is involved in several criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, robbery, and extortion, among others in Delhi.
He is also facing a case of MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) charged by Delhi Police Special Cell.
In May 2023, Yogesh Tunda was put into a 4-day police remand as he murdered jailed gangster Sunil Balyan alias Tillu Tajpuriya inside the Tihar Jail in Delhi.
After the incident, Yogesh was interrogated regarding the incident in which he confessed to beating Tillu to death and told the police that he did it to gain personal revenge.
There were several reports stating that Yogesh Tunda was backed by the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and Goldy Brar ; however, after the incident, Yogesh Tunda said that he belonged to the Gogi Gang.
In 2024, Yogesh’s girlfriend, Neetu, appealed to the Delhi court to grant bail to Yogesh as they wanted to get married; however, the appeal was not approved by the court stating that Yogesh belonged to the gang infamous for escaping police custody and previously had provided false COVID-19 positive reports of his father to the court to get bail.
In March 2024, the Delhi court approved the appeal of Neetu and granted a 6-hour bail to Yogesh Tunda on 15 March 2024 to get married.
Yogesh Tunda got bail from 12 pm to 6 pm, during which he was taken to the Arya Samaj Temple in Vikaspuri, he was accompanied by the third battalion in a heavily guarded vehicle.
 The wedding rituals were performed under high police security. Only 16 members, 8 from each side, consisting of the parents and siblings were allowed to attend the wedding but no phones were allowed during the ceremony.
