Whitney Cummings was born in Washington, DC and raised in Virginia.
She is a renowned American stand-up comedian and podcaster. In her stand-up comedies, she mostly speaks about gender differences, sexism, human sexuality, and relationships.
In an interview, she revealed that her parents divorced when she was just 5 years old, and she grew up in a dysfunctional environment marked by alcohol abuse. As a result, when she was 12, she temporarily moved to Virginia to live with her aunt.
She wanted to be a journalist, that is why she did her degree in Journalism and Communication.
Before moving to acting, she did her internship at Washington’s NBC-owned television station WRC-TV, where she worked as a multi-media journalist.
While attending the University of Pennsylvania, she worked as a model at a local shopping mall to manage her student debt.
In an interview, she revealed that she had completed her four-year communication degree in just three years.
