Vivian developed a love for football when he was 10 as his father was a footballer and his mother was an athlete, both for Indian Railways. He wanted to become a professional footballer and would have pursued that career if he had not become an actor.

Vivian attended a military school for two years, where he learned various sports including horse riding.
He studied well and even passed the Madhya Pradesh State-Level Engineering Entrance Exam. However, a call from the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest shifted his focus and sparked his interest in modelling.
Vivian started his career by participating in the 2007 Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest, where he was among the top 10 finalists.
