| Controversy | Accused of Sexual Harassment In 2021, Bollywood actress Elnaaz Nourouzi shared her #MeToo experience with Vipul. She said that while she was giving an audition for the Hindi film âNamaste England,â Vipul asked for sexual favours from her in exchange of a role in the film. In an interview, she talked about it, she said, "I met him in his office, and he mentioned, we will sign the papers over the next couple of days. This time, when we were saying bye, he came on to me. It was too close for comfort. I didnât get the right vibe. He gave me a peck on my face. I didnât expect it. The next time we met at his office, he tried to kiss me. I backed off, said, âWhat are you doing? We are in your office!â I pushed him away, being affirmative; but careful enough not to come across as rude, because I really wanted the film.â She said that once Vipul asked her to visit him in his room in a hotel to discuss the script of Namaste England. She said when she arrived at his room, he started getting physically closer to her and even touched her butt. She did not file a police complaint against him as she had a fear that not being an Indian, a complaint would cause issues with her work visa.
