Her father, Dilip Shanghvi , is the founder and managing director of Sun Pharma. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the global healthcare industry.
After graduating from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Vidhi joined Sun Pharma, a generic pharmaceutical company, and began working in its marketing division.
On 13 July 2023, Vidhi was appointed as an additional non-executive and non-independent director of Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Limited (SPARC), a biopharmaceutical company founded in 2007 after splitting from Sun Pharma.
Vidhi has been a strong supporter of her father’s Rs. 4.35 lakh crore healthcare empire, Sun Pharma. For more than ten years, she has been instrumental in helping shape the company’s strategic direction.
As of 2024, she owns 28,22,427 equity shares in Sun Pharma, which represents a 0.12% stake in the company.
