While Vasanth was studying to become a doctor at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai, he developed a strong interest in acting. After completing his medical internship, Vasanth decided to enroll in Anupam Kher’s Acting School in Mumbai. Once he finished the course, he started auditioning for different acting opportunities. It was during this time that he met the renowned Indian filmmaker Rajiv Menon. Rajiv invited Vasanth to join his institute, where a team from the Indian theatre group Koothu-P-Pattarai was conducting an acting course. Vasanth agreed to join the institute. check sources The Times of India However, his family had different plans for him and wanted him to pursue a master’s degree. Later, Vasanth moved to UK to pursue his further studies. While he was in the UK, his post-study visa was cancelled, which meant he had to return to India. Upon his return, Vasanth began working in India. It was during this time that he was approached by the Indian film director Ram, who offered him a role in a film. His friend Gopi then encouraged him to pursue a career in acting.
He has appeared in a few Tamil films like ‘Rocky’ (2021), ‘Asvins’ (2023), ‘Jailer’ (2023), and ‘Weapon’ (2023).
