Controversies | ⢠Stone Assault on Vadivelu's Residence: Vadivelu's house in Chennai's Saligramam area faced a stone attack by a group on 21 September 2008. The attack resulted in damage of windows and furniture of his home. However, he managed to stay safe by hiding in a room. Vadivelu alleged actor Vijayakanth 's involvement, citing an ongoing legal dispute over an assault. He said that the attack happened right before the final court hearing, preventing his attendance. The actor later filed another case against Vijayakanth, accusing him of attempted murder. In an interivew, he talked about it and said, "This is not a laughing matter. Vadivelu is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil films. He is known for his distinctive style of humour, which often involves making fun of himself. His characters typically portray an exaggerated sense of importance, often taking on comical versions of tough gang leaders.
He wanted to become an actor since he was a child. He used to take part in local stage plays, where he mainly played comic roles.
Before he started working in films, he helped run his dadâs glass-cutting business. After his father passed away, he continued running the business with his brothers.
After making his acting debut with the Tamil film En Thangai Kalyaniâ (1988), he appeared in the film âEn Rasavin Manasileâ (1991), starring Goundamani and Senthil. Following this film, he starred in several more films alongside Goundamani and Senthil as a trio.

In 1992, he appeared alongside Vijayakanth in the film âChinna Gounder.â
