Uzair Jaswal was raised in a joint family where he lived with his grandparents, parents, and 6 siblings.

When Uzair Jaswal was 3 years old, his teacher wrote on his report card of nursery standard that ‘Uzair is full of music.’
During his school days, Uzair Jaswal started his musical career at the age of 14 when he opened one of the first concerts of EP in Islamabad, Pakistan, which took place at the National Library of Pakistan. He did the opening act of singing.
 When Uzair Jaswal turned 16, he finished writing his first song.
After completing his schooling, Uzair Jaswal took a gap year before he got admission into the university.
He initially opted for a Bachelor’s in Economics; however, he found it difficult to pursue and hence, switched his course to a bachelor’s in International Relations.
During his graduation, he was also pursuing theatre acting side by side.
In 2010, Uzair Jaswal was cast in the English independent film titled ‘Slackistan’ which was directed by London-based filmmaker, Hammad Khan. It was inspired by Richard Linklater’s 1991 film ‘Slacker.’
He played the role of himself in the film ‘Slackistan’ (2010).
His songs like ‘Nindiya Ke Paar’ (2012) and ‘Bolay’ (2012) were featured in the 5th season of Coke Studio Pakistan.

Before getting selected in the 5th season of Coke Studio Pakistan, Uzair dropped request emails to the associates of Coke Studio for 3 consecutive seasons to feature him in Coke Studio.
In the same year, Uzair was cast in the Pakistani comedy film titled ‘Gol Chakkar.’
At 21 years of age, Uzair Jaswal became the youngest performer of Coke Studio Pakistan in its first 7 seasons.
In 2015, Uzair Jaswal made his Bollywood singing debut with his song titled ‘Tere Bin Nahi Laage’ for the Hindi romantic thriller film titled ‘Ek Paheli Leela.’ The song was a recreated version of his earlier hit titled ‘Tere Bin.’
The song titled ‘Tere Bin Nahi Laage’ (2015) was recreated by the Indian music director Amaal Mallik with a few lyrics added for the film ‘Ek Paheli Laage’ (2015).
His first music album titled ‘Na Bhulana’ (2016) is based on eight to ten years of his life before 2016. The inspiration for that album came from all the people who came and Uzair’s life before 2016.

Uzair Jaswal has appeared in Pakistani films like ‘Jalaibee’ (2015) as Jimmy, and ‘Oye Kuch Kar Guzar’ (2016) as Junaid Hafeez Sarhadi and Jango.

Uzair Jaswal has sung many single songs including ‘Bechara Dil’ (2013), ‘Soneya’ (2020), and ‘Jhootay Pal’ (2023).
Uzair Jaswal has also appeared in Pakistani TV series including ‘Moray Saiyaan’ (2016) on ARY Digital as Ghaziyan, ‘Shayad’ (2017) on Geo Entertainment as Saad, and ‘Nafrat’ (2023) on Hum TV as Araiz.
