Usman Bashir grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. He resides in Houston, Texas, US.
In 2004, Usman founded BrakeTime Corner Market (aka Break Time), a private American Pakistani corporation headquartered in Houston. He also serves as the chief executive officer of the company.
He is the founder of the BTCM Foundation and BTCM Consulting.
Usman initially divided his time between Pakistan and America to grow his business. Under his leadership, the company established over 300 retail outlets, including gas stations, fast food chains, vape shops across the US, a large real estate portfolio travel plazas, and coffee spots.
Usman has also worked in the hospitality industry, investing in prestigious hotels like Marriot and building his influence as a fuel supplier for brands like Shell and Valero.
Under his guidance, Brake Time acquired 48 CEFCO convenience stores across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama in 2022.
Usman has a strong interest in the electric vehicle sector.
In 2024, he appeared as one of the judges on the business reality television series ‘Shark Tank Pakistan,’ which aired on Green TV.
