Urmilla Kanetkar Kothare is an Indian actress, who is known for working in the Marathi film and TV industry. She has worked in many Marathi films including âShubha Mangal Saavadhanâ (2006), âDuniyadariâ (2013), and âTi Saddhya Kay Karteâ (2017).
She is a trained Kathak dancer. She learned Odissi dance from Sujata Mahapatra in Bhubaneshwar. In 1997, at the age of 11, she took part in a program celebrating Indiaâs 50th Independence Day.

Urmila met Adinath Kothare, her husband, during the filming of her first âShubh Mangal Savdhanâ in 2006. Adinath served as the assistant director in the film.

In December 2024, she hit the headlines after her car, which was being driven by her driver, met with an accident in Mumbai while she was returning home from work. As per sources, the accident occurred when the driver lost control of her car due to overspeeding. In the accident, one labourer was killed while another was injured. Urmilla and her driver were wounded and were taken to a hospital.
