Unni Rajan P Dev is an Indian actor who is known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He is the son of the late actor Rajan P Dev and grandson of popular stage and drama actor S. J. Dev.
Unni Dev made his acting debut with some television serials and then he entered the Malayalam cinema with the Malayalam film ‘Aadu’ in 2015. He portrayed the character of Bastin Pathrose in the film. Later, he became part of movies like Appuram Bengal Ippuram Thiruvithamkoor and IDI: Inspector Dawood Ibrahim in the year 2016.
In 2017, Unni Rajan P Dev appeared as a lead role in the film “Kaattu” directed by Arun Kumar Aravind. He portrayed the character of Pauly, which was highly appreciated by the Malayalam audience. The movie earned him a lot of fame and helped him establish as a lead actor in the film industry.
Unni considers his father as an inspiration for acting. He wants to play negatives roles in films, just like his father.
On 21 November 2019, Unni Rajan P Dev got married to a Malayali girl, Priyanka. The wedding ceremony was held in a Church in Kerala. According to Priyanka’s family, Unni used to harass and demean her for not being financially sound. Reportedly, Unni remained unemployed for a long time after their marriage, and he sold Priyanka’s expensive jewelry for his personal expenses.
Unni Rajan P Dev’s wife, Priyanka, was found hanging in her bedroom at her parent’s residence in Vembayam on Wednesday, 12 May 2021.
Priyanka’s brother has filed a case against Unni for mentally and physically harassing his sister. Unni was found covid positive at the time of investigation after her wife’s death. Vattappara police team arrested him on 25 May 2021 after completing his quarantine of 14 days and his negative covid reports.
