Umer Aalam is a Pakistani actor and model who is known for his work in Pakistani television dramas and films.
He wanted to become an actor since childhood. He used to participate in theatre plays during his school and college days.
He garnered immense praise for his performance in the theatre play ‘Siachen’ by Anwar Maqsood.
After completing his formal education in Islamabad, he shifted to Karachi to become an actor.
He worked as an actor for a theatre group named KopyKats Productions in Islamabad in 2015. Later, he worked with theatre groups ‘Theatre Wallay’ and ‘Blind Bachelors Production.’
After making his film debut with the Urdu film ‘Parchi’ (2018), he appeared in the short film ‘Dia’ (2018) in which he played the role of Asad.

In April 2019, he joined Citrus Talent, a talent management company in Karachi, where he worked as a model and actor.
He played the character of a truck driver in the 2019 film ‘Chhalawa.’

Before Tamasha, I would be out somewhere and people would nudge each other and whisper that it seemed like I was an actor. Now, they know me as Umer Aalam, winner of Tamasha, rather than the hero’s brother or the hero’s friend. Tamasha helped me cover three or four years’ struggle that would have been required to get myself recognised.”
In the same year, he acted in the telefilm ‘Bhagam Bhag’ in which he played the role of Tipu. The film was broadcast on the channel ARY Digital.

In December 2022, he walked the ramp as a showstopper at the Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week. The event was held at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore.

The actor played the role of Saqlain Mushtaq in the biographical film ‘Rawalpindi Express’ in 2023. The film is based on the life story of popular Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar .
