She has walked the runway for many renowned International designers like Yves Saint-Laurent, Roberto Cavalli, Hugo Boss, Cynthia Rowley, Diane von Furstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Betsey Johnson, Gucci, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, and Emilio Pucci.

Ujjwala, at the age of 17, won the title of “Femina Look of the Year” at Femina Miss India 1996 and was among the top 15 of Elite Model Look Contest 1996 in Nice, France.
She has walked the runway twice for “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” in 2002 and 2003. She judged and hosted the Kingfisher Calendar Hunt 2012 with model Milind Soman .
In June 2004, Ujjwala got married to Craig Maxwell Sterry, a British model- turned- entrepreneur. Ujjwala and Craig were blessed with a baby girl in 2005.
After few years of her marriage, Ujjawala filed a divorce case to her husband in 2008. Ujjwala also demanded the cancellation of her husband’s POI card as she was taking full custody of her daughter.
