Trinity was the daughter of famous US Olympian Tyson Gay.
She was a Scott County 7th grader racer for her high school team, won the 100 meters and was part of the winning 4-by-100 and 4-by-200 relays.
She was part of the US 100m relay team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Her aim was to become a surgeon.
In the early hours of 16 October 2016, she was shot in the neck in a Kentucky restaurant parking lot at around 4 A.M. After which, he was rushed to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital where she was declared dead.
At 2 A.M., just 2 hours before she was shot, she tweeted that she was at the Cook Out restaurant, at 855 South Broadway, close the University of Kentucky campus. She also wrote, “Of course they start shootin.”
