Some Lesser Known Facts About Tony Kakkar
Tonny Kakkar was born into an economically weak family in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

His father, Rishikesh Kakkar, used to sell samosas outside schools and colleges to support his family.
In 1990, Tony’s family moved to Delhi from Uttarakhand.
While in Delhi, he started singing bhajans with his sisters, Sonu and Neha at the jagaratas. They used to receive Rs. 50 each for every performance.

In 2004, Tony moved to Mumbai along with his sister, Neha Kakkar.
He used to accompany Neha for her song recordings and in his free time learnt the technical aspects of composing music.
Gradually, Tony started making CDs of demo music.
One day, the actor and producer, Pooja Bhatt , heard one of his music projects and suggested him to meet the T-series owner, Bhushan Kumar .
Tony prepared the music of the song ‘Sawan Aaya Hai’ and showed it to Bhushan, who offered him his first song.
As a music composer, Tony has worked on many popular songs like “Ek Do Teen Char” and “Khuda Bhi” from the film ‘Ek Paheli Leela;’ “Mile Ho Tum,” “Khara Khara,” and “Dil Ashkon Mein” from the film ‘Fever;’ and “Mohabbat Nasha Hai” from the film ‘Hate Story 4.’
He has also sung many popular songs like “Coca Cola Tu,” “Dheeme Dheeme,” “Mile Ho Tum,” “Car Mein Music Baja,” and “Kuch Kuch.”
He received immense popularity after singing the Punjabi song “Akhiyaan” (2015) along with his sister, Neha Kakkar and the Punjabi rapper, Bohemia .
Tony has a deep faith in Lord Ganesha.
