Some Lesser Known Facts About Tākor Clottey
Tākor Clottey learned to crochet when she was 12 years old. She taught crocheting to her mother at home, but her mother did not continue with it.
In college, she was a board member and president of the Organization of Black Students. She created and launched the annual Black Convocation, an event celebrating Black studentsā achievements at the University of Chicago.
Tākor Clottey has worked as the outreach manager for the podcast āKinda Sorta Brown,ā which discussed policies affecting black and brown communities.
In June 2019, she started working as an Organizer and Communications Fellow in āKamala Harris for Presidentā campaign. She worked in the position till August 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa. She sent daily newsletters and pitched events to reporters under this Campaign.
Tākor Clottey worked as a Communications Intern at All In Together from June 2020 to August 2020. During her period in this organisation, she managed the social media accounts, sent weekly newsletters to subscribers, and organized virtual webinars.
She served as a Communications Coordinator at the University of Chicago from January 2020 to June 2022.
From June 2021 to August 2021, she worked as a Design Assistant and Communications Intern at House of Chelsea B in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

Apart from being an entrepreneur, she is also a writer who contributed to MODA Magazine at the University of Chicago from October 2021 to June 2022.
In June 2021, Tākor Clottey founded Tākor Couture in Chicago and began working as its Creative Director.
