Thaina Fields (1999-2024) was a Peruvian adult film actress and sex worker. In January 2024, she was found dead in her apartment. Some reports state that on 11 January 2024, she poisoned herself to death.
According to her, some of the subjects that interested her were medicine, psychology, and law. She held Sigmund Freud, the neurologist, in high regard. However, due to financial limitations, she was unable to complete her formal education.
She began her career as an actress in adult films in 2018 after agreeing to a deal with the porn production company Milky Peru. She soon gained popularity as a porn actress. During an interview, she explained the nature of her job, and said,
Everyone who has been with me knows that we have been there for an average interest: I gave them my love and they gave me what they could financially.”
She also disclosed that she used the money she earned from working as a sex worker to pay for breast enlargement surgeries.
She disclosed in an interview that she was experiencing a number of mental health issues, including psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and dysthymia. She was receiving therapy in order to address these medical problems.
In April 2023, she revealed her real name and talked about the sexual harassment she had experienced when she first started working in the adult film industry. She said,
I have suffered sexual harassment and abuse after starting to create adult content. At first many thought that by hiring me they could do what they wanted with me, but then I came home, took a bath and cried. It happened to me many times. It is very difficult to be a woman and create adult content when society is literally in shit.”
She was well-known for speaking up for the rights of sexual workers and occasionally standing up for them.
In her leisure time, Fields would take up podcasting, where she talked about a range of topics related to her life, such as relationships, men’s studies, male sexuality, machismo in Peru, and her sexual health as an adult actress.
According to her, she was subjected to numerous misogynistic remarks in both Lima and her hometown, Trujillo, after she decided to pursue a career as a porn actress.
