Tejaswi was fascinated towards dance since her childhood, and after completing her graduation, she started working as a freelance dance instructor for âTwist n Turns.âÂ
She was also part of the collegeâs basketball team and used to represent them in the inter-college tournaments.
She also went on to take classes in Hyderabad Public School, and Nasr School for Girls for MNCs like HSBC, Wipro, and Franklin Templeton.
She has also worked as a âjournalistâ for the renowned newspaper, The Times of India.
She was first noticed when she was featured in a â7Upâ commercial, along with Allu Arjun. Though, she never wanted to become an actress, she developed an interest in acting while doing the commercial.
She was the second runner-up in the âMiss Dabur Gulabariâ beauty contest of 2011.
After doing choreography for a few years, she turned actress and made her acting debut with âSeethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu,â where she played the role of âGeethaâ the younger sister of Samantha Akkineni.
Her role as âShriyaâ in Puri Jagannadhâs âHeart Attackâ (2014) had impressed Ram Gopal Varma so much that he gave her the female lead role in his horror fiction film âIce Creamâ (2014) that proved to be a huge hit and turned the fortunes for her.
The year 2015, proved to be a âgolden yearâ for her as all of her six films did well at the box-office.
In 2017, she became the first Tollywood actress to feature in a web series, after starring in Shashank Yeletiâs 25-episode rom-com âMana Mugguri Love Story.â
