Teja Nidamanuru is an Indian-origin cricketer, coach, manager, and IT corporate employee who has played for the Netherlands national team in international competitions. He also played in the New Zealand domestic circuit during his teenage years.
Till the age of six, he lived in Vijayawada at his grandparents’ house where he became interested in cricket. When his mother was appointed as a dialysis technician at the district health board of Auckland, he moved to Auckland, New Zealand at the age of six.

When he was eight, he started training at Cornwall Cricket Club in Auckland and later played many tournaments for them. From 2014-15 to 2017-18 seasons, he represented Cornwall – Auckland in the National Club Cricket Championships.

Teja’s parents separated when he was nine after which he was raised by his mother. His mother returned to India when he was sixteen; however, he continued living in New Zealand and kept pursuing his studies and cricket.

From April 2015 to September 2015, he represented Lanchester Cricket Club in Division 1 of the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League, and from April 2016 to September 2016, he represented Stony Stratford in the Hevey Building Supplies Northamptonshire Cricket League Premier Division. In 2015, he also played for Northern Universities Student Club Community Cricketers Elite.

He later became a player cum coach of the Punjab Cricket Club Rotterdam in January 2020. He made 104 runs off 42 balls during a match against VOC Rotterdam in the 2021 Dutch T20 Cup.

Teja scored his first ODI fifty in his debut ODI match on 31 May 2022 by making 58 runs not out against West Indies. On 21 March 2023, he made his first ODI hundred by scoring 110 runs against Zimbabwe. On 26 June 2023, he scored 111 runs against West Indies during the group stage match in the 2023 ICC World Cup Qualifier, helping the Netherlands first tie the match, which they later won in the super over.

He worked as the competition manager of the Cornwall Cricket Club from June 2017 to December 2017 and organised a children’s cricket tournament named Bayley’s Summer Bash. He worked as a sports coach at Auckland Normal Intermediate School from July 2017 to April 2019. He worked as an event and social media intern for the New Zealand Athlete Federation (Netball) from March 2018 to August 2018.
