Tanveer Bookwala is an Indian writer, screenplay writer, producer, director, author, and entrepreneur, who has gained recognition for his contributions to the horror-thriller genre, including notable works such as Ragini MMS 2, Asur, and The Haunting.
Despite lacking a background in the entertainment industry, he fearlessly pursued a career in Bollywood after studying filmmaking in New York and successfully secured a position at Balaji Telefilms.

He embarked on his career in 2005 as an associate creative head for the show titled Kya Kahein at Balaji Telefilms. Subsequently, he also contributed his expertise to the talk show Kandy Floss.

By 2009, he transitioned to Endemol India, where he dedicated three years.
Returning to Balaji Telefilms in April 2012, Tanveer Bookwala assumed various roles within the organization. These positions included Associate Creative Head, Creative Head, Director, Chief Creative Officer (CCO), and Associate Vice President (AVP) of Balaji Motion Pictures.

He expanded his creative horizons by venturing into screenplay and story writing. Noteworthy projects he contributed to include the 2014 film Ragini MMS 2, the 2016 film Azhar, the 2018 web series XXX: Uncensored, and the upcoming 2023 web series The Haunting, which he not only wrote but also directed.

He has an extensive repertoire as a producer, having worked on numerous films and web series. Some notable productions under his belt include Kyaa Kool Hain Hum in 2016, A Flying Jatt in 2016, Boygiri in 2017, The Great Dysfunctional Family in 2018, Rasbhari and Fittrat in 2019, Asur in 2020, Apharan in 2022, and The Haunting in 2023.

He has established himself as an author, with several of his books exploring themes of horror, thriller, and kinky romance. Among his notable literary works are Make Me Maya, Coffee Tea or Me, Ghost Kisses, and Wet.

He ventured into entrepreneurship in 2016 by establishing his first company, Ding Entertainment Private Limited. This venture subsequently collaborated with Balaji Telefilms to develop several engaging stories. Expanding his entrepreneurial endeavours further, in 2020, he founded his second company, Ding Infinity Private Limited, which operates within the realms of recreation, sports, and culture.
