Some Lesser Known Facts About Tania Singh
She was pursuing modelling and fashion designing.
She worked in an event management company.
According to Tania’s Instagram bio, she was a disc jockey, makeup artist and model.
Tania died on 20 February 2024 after committing suicide.
After her death, when the police checked her phone, they found her last messages and calls to cricketer Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Surat Police’s ACP V.R. Malhotra in a statement said that Tania contacted cricketer Abhishek before committing suicide but there was no response from him. In the statement, he further said,
We have so far learnt this much that cricketer was friends with the deceased. More details will be known in the investigation… We have not contacted the cricketer yet but we will send him a notice.”
She used to stay with her parents in Surat. According to her father, Tania was found hanging from the ceiling of her apartment. There was no suicide note found.
In a statement, a police officer said,
Tania Singh was probably in a relationship with the IPL player and for the last six months, the cricketer had not communicated with her. He had also blocked her phone number and did not respond to her messages on social media.”
