Swati Mishra is an Indian singer known for receiving praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2024 for being the singer of the song ‘Ram Aayenge’ which went viral on social media in 2023.
Swati loved singing from a young age. Even though her family didn’t have a musical background, her parents recognized her interest and provided music training.
She started learning music when she was a child. She moved to Mumbai after completing her studies to focus on music.
Swati runs three YouTube channels: one under the name Swati Mishra and the other named Swati Mishra Bhakti. As of January 2024, her main channel has over 602K subscribers, and the Bhakti channel has over 451K subscribers, with over 55 crore views.
She sings various genres of songs, excelling in devotional music.
One of her popular devotional songs, “Ram Aayenge,” has gained more than 52 million views as of January 2024. The devotional song was released on her YouTube channel in October 2023.
In an interview, she said that she did not sing the song to get any fame; however, her song went viral on social media and gained recognition.
Prime Minister Modi shared Swati’s devotional song on his social media handle ‘X’. He praised Swati’s mesmerizing bhajan that welcomes Shri Ram Lala. While sharing the video of Bhajan on his X platform, he said,
This devotional bhajan of Swati Mishra ji to welcome Shri Ram Lalla is mesmerising.”
She has sung many songs in the Maithili language for Lord Ram and Ayodhya.
She has recorded various songs including Raam Siya Raam, Pata Nahi Kis Roop Me Aakar Narayan Mil Jayega, Radhe Radhe Radhe Barsane wali Radhe, Jode Jode Falwa Suruj dev, and Mann Mohanaa.
She also sings songs at various festivals including Chatt Puja. She has sung the songs Bhore Bhore Ghatiya Par and Ghare Aaja Babua.
In an interview, she mentioned that recording bhajans demands less effort compared to other types of songs she works on.
