Sushma Seth is the elder sister of renowned Manipuri dancer Charu Sija Mathur.
She is one of the founders of the Delhi-based theatre group ‘Yatrik’ and she has directed many plays.
Sushma also appeared in the legendary Punjabi film ‘Chann Pardesi’ (1980).
Since last 10 years, Sushma has been working with an NGO called ‘Arpana’, directing plays and dance dramas.
Sushma has written a play called ‘Sitaron Ke Paas’ inspired by the life of astronaut Kalpana Chawla . Kalpana Chawla died in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster which occurred on February 1, 2003.
Sushma Seth launched her book at Sri Ram Centre on August 13, 2010.
On 6 August 2024, her granddaughter Mihika Shah passed away due to seizures.
