| Controversies | Accused for sexual assualting a teenage girl (April 2025)- In April 2025, a case was registered against Surendra Patil for sexual assault and offences under the Arms Act. According to the complaint the victim was sexually assaulted between 16 Frebruary 2025 and 29 March 2025 in the Dawadi area of Dombivli East, Pune. The case was registered against Patil and his driver. The 19- years old victim, came in contact with Patil through Instagram. As the friendship grew, Patil promised to secure a job for her at Mumbai Airport. To get a job, the victim rushed to Mumbai. The victim first met with Patil at Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai, and then accoampanied him to his office in Dombivli. Patil first seduced the victim, however when victim restricted him he whipped out his gun and forcefully assault her. Fear of humiliation victim didn't report the incident. However, Patil continued to blackmail and sexually assault her. Being traumatized by the incident the victim lodged a complaint against Patil and his driver at the Manpada Police Station, Thane. Surendra Patil was born and raised in Dombivli, Thane, Maharashtra.

In 2022, Patil visited the Manpada police station in Thane, Pune, to collect his cash recovered in a fraud case in which he was the complainant. During his visit, he recorded a video of himself sitting in a police officer’s chair and later posted it on Instagram. This led to his arrest for unauthorised filming inside the police station.
In 2023, Surendra was arrested by the Thane Anti-Extortion Cell for possessing two unlicensed pistols and seven live cartridges. He claimed that he carried the weapon for self-protection during various cash dealings.
In the same year, Patil attempted to buy fake Indian currency valued at Rs 1.6 crore by paying Rs 40 lakh in genuine Indian currency. However, a man posing as a police officer robbed him. However, four individuals were arrested in connection with this robbery, and Patil was charged with attempting to engage in the trade of fake currency.
Surendra Patil has been booked at several police stations in Kalyan, Dombivli for 14 cases, including fraud, electricity theft, sexual assault and illegal possession of deadly weapons, including a firearm.
Additionally, the police had also issued an externment order prohibiting him from entering Thane district in Maharashtra for one and a half years. However, he later succeeded in having the court cancel the deportation order, allowing him to return to the area.
In April 2025, he was charged with two cases for sexually assaulting a woman and a teenage girl. Surendra Patil ran away from Dombivali when these two cases were registered. However, the Anti-Extortion Squad received information from Thane Police that he hid in the Hotel Celebration in Nashik.
Despite all his illegal activities, he received support from people of all occupations, including police, politicians, businessmen, and other celebrities. He is known as the Dombivli King.
Surendra Patil is also famous for doing social work. He helped poor people financially.
