Some Lesser Known Facts About Suraj Chavan
Suraj Chavan grew up in a financially poor family in Modhave Village, Baramati.
He lost his parents when he was too young. His father passed away from Cancer. His mother was so affected by his father’s untimely demise that she fell severely ill. One day she vomited blood and her health worsened. A few days later, her mother passed away. His grandmother also passed away on the same day.
After the death of his parents, his elder sister raised him.
Suraj could not study after class 8 due to financial constraints.
After passing class 8, Suraj began working as a labourer, earning just Rs. 300 a day.
Once, he came to know about the social media app TikTok from his sister and made a video on it.
He then developed an interest in making videos and asked his sister to buy him a phone.
After getting a phone, Suraj began making humorous videos on TikTok.
His TikTok videos resonated with the audience and he soon became popular on the platform, earning the title of Reel Star among his fans.
After the ban of TikTok in India, Suraj began making videos and uploading them on his YouTube channel.
He has been featured in the YouTube series Premaya Kehapan.
Suraj has also been featured in the music video of the song Bukkit Tengul.
He has appeared in the films Musandi (2023) and Raja Rani (2024).
In 2024, he appeared as a contestant in the reality TV show Bigg Boss Marathi season 5.

Inside the house of Bigg Boss, Suraj once revealed that earlier, he used to get Rs 80 thousand to cut the ribbon for an event. He further said that he was cheated by many people, adding that he still received Rs. 30 to 50 thousand a day.
In October 2024, Suraj was announced as the winner of the fifth season of Bigg Boss Marathi. He also received a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakhs.
