Supriya Kumari hails from Darbhanga, Bihar.
She grew up in Ranchi.

Supriya developed an interest in acting during her school days. She soon started working as a child artist and dancer in various Doordarshan shows.
Supriya started her career with Nagpuri and Khortha albums, and songs like ‘Ae Mor Sajni’ and ‘Rang Bhare Badal Se’ became hits.

She also participated in various theatrical productions in Delhi, where she lived for four years.
She later moved to Mumbai from Jharkhand to pursue a career in acting.
In 2009, she played the role of ‘Amoli Digvijay Singh’ in the television series ‘Bairi Piya,’ which aired on Colors TV. Her performance in the television series was appreciated by many.

In 2013, Supriya divorced her first husband, Pankaj Sinha, an actor, due to some issues. Some sources claim that she fell in love with actor Rishikesh Ingley
, which influenced her decision to divorce Pankaj.
Supriya once visited Goa, where she met Rishikesh Ingley through mutual friends. The duo soon fell in love and eventually got married.
Supriya has also worked in some films. She played the role of ‘Sushma Joshi’ in a satire film titled ‘Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami’ in 2014.
