Sunny Arya is a popular Indian YouTuber who is known for his channel Tehelka Prank.
Growing up, he wanted to be an actor. Once he moved to Mumbai for a while to pursue a career in acting. However, he returned to New Delhi after facing rejection.
Sunny and Deepika had an arranged marriage. During an interview, Deepika shared a personal story about her family. She mentioned that she had two siblings, a brother and a sister, both of whom were blind. Her father often worried about their future, concerned about who would care for them when he was no longer able to do so. Deepika and her father were determined to establish a means to support her blind siblings throughout their lives. Initially, when she first met Sunny, Deepika had no intention of getting married. However, Sunny won over her father by making a heartfelt promise to always care for and provide for her blind siblings. This compassionate gesture convinced Deepika’s father to approve of their marriage.
In 2019, he started his career as a YouTuber with the channel “Tehelka Prank.” The channel features a variety of comical prank videos.
Initially, he executed pranks in public settings. Later, he began creating prank videos on his family members, including his parents and wife.

In one of the videos, he faked being drunk and tricked his father. The video received a tremendous response from the viewers, and many asked for more prank videos with his dad.
His amusing and relatable content gained popularity during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
He also runs a YouTube channel and an Instagram page called “Helping Sunny Arya,” where he uploads videos of his charitable works. In the videos, he can be seen offering assistance to those in need by providing them with food, clothing, wheelchairs, and more.

During an interview, he discussed the origin of the name “Tehelka Prank” for his YouTube channel. He recalled his mischievous childhood days when he would entertain his friends by imitating the voices of a girl or an old man. His friends used to jokingly say things like “You sure create a ‘tehelka’ (uproar) with your antics” and “You’ve caused ‘tabaahi’ (mayhem) in school.” Years later, when he was deciding on a name for his YouTube channel, he was confused between the words “Tehelka” and “Tabaahi.” After a conversation with his wife, he settled on the name “Tehelka Prank.”
He rose to prominence in 2023 when he appeared as a contestant on the TV reality show Bigg Boss Season 17 on Colors TV.
