Sunita Dhir is a renowned Punjabi actress and a professor at the Theatre and Television Department of Punjabi University in Patiala.
She used to participate in âGiddhaâ (Punjabi folk dance) and drama during her school and college days.
Sunita started her career as a theatre artist in 1975.
In 1980, she entered the Punjabi Film Industry.
She has appeared in many Punjabi movies like âSubedaarâ, âLalkara Jatti Daâ, âBadla Jatti Daâ, âMunde U.K. Deâ, âKirpaan: The Sword of Honourâ, âToofan Singhâ, âRabb Da Radioâ, âKandeâ, etc.
When Sunita was pursuing the M.A., she had rejected to work in the Bollywood.
She is best known for playing the motherâs role.
Sunita has also acted in many Punjabi TV serials, short films, and web series.
After the marriage, she took a long break of 14 to 15 years and came back into the Punjabi Film Industry with the film âYaraan Naal Baharaanâ.
