Some Lesser Known Facts About Sunil Kumar
Sunil Kumar grew up in Jammu.
While he was in school, he participated in various sports like volleyball and basketball.
Upto class 10, his height was normal like other boys in his class, but after class 10, his started increasing rapidly.
In 2007, he started participating in handball tournaments. After winning various state and national championships in handball, he was selected by Jammu & Kashmir Police as a constable on sports quota in 2008.

After 2008, his height increased a few more inches.
He was then approached by FMW Delhi, a wrestling academy to train him in wrestling. In an interview, he shared that he often spends a few days in training in Delhi.
He has played in various wrestling matches of Wrestling Dangal Ke Soorma.
Someone then noticed him in one of his wrestling matches and offered him a TV commercial of ShopClues.
