Some Lesser Known Facts About Sumedha Karmahe
She grew up in a middle-class family of Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.

Since her childhood, she has been inclined towards singing. She used to dream of coming on a television show.
Till the age of two and a half, she was not able to speak. After which her mother got her diagnosed by a doctor, and Sumedha gradually started speaking.
When she was three years old, she started performing on stage.
She actively participated in various extracurricular activities in school and college.
While she was in college, she won a silver medal on yoga day.

She used to sing in various local singing stage shows in her village. Within a few years, she became a known singer in her paternal hometown.
In her teens, she performed in various events of the Rajbharti Orchestra in her village. Simultaneously, she participated in various local singing competitions in nearby cities. After winning a few singing competitions, she decided to make her career in singing.
She was then spotted by the Indian singer OP Nayyar who motivated her to make her career as a singer.
In 2007, she participated in the reality TV singing show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

After the show, she got offers to perform in various national and international concerts.
While she was in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, she met the Indian singer Geet Sagar. Soon, they became friends, and later, fell in love with each other. After dating each other for a few months, the couple got married in 2016. However, after around 2 years, they started living separately after which they got divorced. After the divorce, she came to know that Geet Sagar was in a live-in relationship with some woman. ((The Hindustan Times )
She has lent her voice to many Hindi songs such as Nazm Nazm (Bareilly ki Barfi), Namo Namo (Kedarnath), and Toyota Jo Kabhi Taara (A Flying Jatt).
She has worked as one of the jury members in a reality singing TV show. She has also sung in various TV serials.
