In 2005, Sumaira Abidi started her journalism journey by joining the Indian English news magazine named ‘India Today’ where she began working as an anchor and correspondent.
In 2007, she began working as an anchor and show producer at the English news television channel ‘NewsX.’
In 2009, Sumaira started working as anchor and principal correspondent at India’s largest media conglomerate named ‘Times Network.’ She was posted at the Mumbai branch of the company.
In 2010, she started working as a freelance photographer and anchor in New Delhi.
In 2011, Sumaira began working as the Deputy Editor of CNBC-TV18 which is the commercial brand of the Indian news media company named ‘Network18.’
