Sujatha Sivakumar was given a role by Kamal Hassan in the Tamil movie titled Virumaandi in 2004. She got publicity in South Indian cinema with the movie Paruthiveeran in 2007. Sujatha earned the pen name “Paruthiveeran Sujatha” after appearing in the movie Paruthiveeran. In the picture, she portrayed the character of a lively, determined, and courageous village woman and earned the stage name “Paruthiveeran Sujatha” after the movie.

In 2009, she collaborated and worked with the famous Tamil director Pandiraj for the movie Pasanga. In 2013, she was seen in the film Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga as a supporting actress.
