In 2016, she got a breakthrough role in the film Dangal as the child Babita Kumari .

She was selected from 11,000 girls for the role and earned praise for her acting. She also took 6 months’ leave from school to shoot for the film.

She later took a break from acting to focus on her studies and planned to return to acting after completing her formal education.

She died on 16 February 2024 at the age of 19 years at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. Her father revealed after her death that she was suffering from Dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease that causes skin rash and muscle weakness.
