Some Lesser Known Facts About Sudipti Hajela
Sudipti Hajela started practising horse riding at the age of six.
Initially, she learnt horse riding at a training centre in Delhi and later continued training in various countries in Europe.
She won her first national medal, a bronze medal, for horse riding in 2013, which was presented to her by Sourav Ganguly .
In 2018, she became the champion of the AEF (Asian Equestrian Federation) Dressage Qualifier held in Jaipur, India, in the U21 category.

On 4 November 2018, she took part in the 2018 FEI World Dressage Challenge in New Delhi, India.
In December 2018, she took part in the Junior National Equestrian Championship held in Kolkata in which she won two medals, a gold in the team event, and a bronze in the individual event.

She won the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) U-21 Dressage Championship held in Doha, Qatar in April 2019. She was ranked the 5th best equestrian in the Asian continent after winning the 2019 Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) U-21 Dressage Championship.
In January 2021, she won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze in different events in the National Equestrian Dressage Championship 2020-2021, which was held at the Army Polo and Riding Club, Brar Square, New Delhi.
She finished first in the PSG (Prix St George) held in Delhi and was placed second in the Intermediate 1 event in December 2021.
In 2023, she represented India at the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China, as a member of the quartet that included Divyakriti Singh , Hriday Chheda, and Anush Agarwalla , where the Indian Equestrian quartet went on to win the gold medal.

India won a gold medal in an Equestrian event after 41 years, and it was India’s first-ever gold medal in a team event in Equestrian Dressage.
At the 2022 Asian Games, only the top 3 scores were counted in the final score due to which Hajela’s score was not taken into consideration as she had the lowest score amongst the four Indian riders.
At the 2022 Asian Games, she was the youngest member of the Equestrian quartet.
The horse she rode at the 2022 Asian Games is named Chinski. She bought Chinski in 2021 and practised with him for almost 2 years before performing with him in the Asian Games.
She has received training in various countries such as London, Portugal, and France.

She was one of the recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar Award 2020 present at the 71st Republic Day Parade.
