Ssumier Pasricha was born in a Punjabi family.
He joined theatre at the age of just 5 and did several plays as a theatre artist like âAli Baba Chalis Chorâ (2002) as Abdullah, âHeart to Heartâ (2007),â Woh Din Wo Logâ (2009) as Chabba, âMahim Junctionâ (2009-2011) as Randy Bhai, âAmavas Se Amaltasâ (2017) as Man with Autism, etc.
After his schooling, he went to Australia for further studies. He also used to work as a Radio Jockey in Australia at a local radio station; after which he became an active member of Indian Society of Western Australia.
He later shifted to Mumbai to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an actor.
He is a trained Indian classical dancer and singer. He received five years of training from Raja and Radha Reddy in classical dance and 13 years of training in classical music.
He got a breakthrough role in 2011 in the TV serial âSasural Simar Kaâ as Shailendra Bharadwaj aka Shailu.
