Soorma is an Indian sports drama film which will release on 13 July 2018. It is a Biographical movie based on the life of Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh. The film will show Diljit Dosanjh portraying Sandeep’s character with Tapsee Pannu in the female lead. The film depicts the real life of Sandeep Singh who was an exceptional player but in 2006 he was seriously injured after being hit by an accidental gunshot in the Shatabdi Express train, while on his way to join the national team due to leave for the World Cup in Germany two days later. He was paralyzed and remained in the wheelchair for two years. He not only recovered from that serious injury but also established himself again in the Indian team.
