Controversy	A Tweet to Saina Nehwal: In January 2022, Siddharth attracted controversy due to a derogatory tweet he posted in response to the Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal 's tweet about a security breach involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab. The chairperson of the National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma later took to social media to deamand action against Siddharth. On 11 January 2022, he took to Twitter to share a letter of apology to Saina Nehwal and said "You'll Always Be My Champion." Siddharth is an Indian actor, producer, screenwriter, and playback singer who is known for working in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. He gained recognition through his performances in films like ‘Rang De Basanti’ (2006) (Hindi), ‘Bommarillu’ (2006) (Telugu), ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’ (2014) (Tamil), and ‘Jabardasth’ (2013) (Telugu).
He was born into a Tamil-speaking family in Chennai.
He participated in several extra-curricular activities during his college days.

He was the president of his college’s debating team, and he competed in events like the World Debating Championship.
While studying at Kirori Mal College in New Delhi, Siddharth participated in some theatrical productions. He was a member of the college’s theatre group ‘Players.’ He performed in plays like Howard Brenton’s “Gum & Goo.”
Siddharth has learnt theatrical skills from Keval Arora, an English professor at Kirori Mal College.

He joined Mani Ratnam ‘s Tamil film ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ as an assistant director in 2002. He also made his first on-screen appearance in the film; he played the role of a bus passenger, which was an uncredited role.

He has worked as a voice-over artist in films like the Tamil version of “The Lion King” (2019), where he voiced the character ‘Simba,’ and “Ayalaan” (2024), where he lent his voice to the character ‘Tattoo.’
Siddharth and Samantha were once in a serious relationship, and Samantha considered getting married to him. They, however, split as her friends told her things about Siddharth, including rumours of him being a womanizer. Samantha was later linked up with actor Naga Chaitanya about which Siddharth once tweeted,

On 27 December 2022, Siddharth took to social media to claim that his parents were harassed at the Madurai Airport in Tamil Nadu. He mentioned how his parents were asked to remove coins from their bags, and the officials did not talk in English when requested.
