She grew up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

When she was 2 years old, she worked in her first ad film.
She started acting in films when she was studying in school at 15.
She learned Bharatanatyam from her teacher, Chitra Visveswaran, during her childhood and would often participate in the dancing events in the cultural programmes of her school.
She has also studied Carnatic music.
She was awarded the gold medals from her college after she completed her BSc and MBA.
She has worked as a part-time guest lecturer for postgraduate students in Marketing and HR in various colleges of Tamil Nadu, including SRM, Kings College of Engineering, M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, and SIET.
In 2018, she founded a skincare brand based on Ayurveda, ‘Haappy Herbs,’ headquartered in Chennai. The company also operates internationally in the United States, Malaysia, and Canada.
She is the founder of a women’s clothing brand, ‘Tharii By Shrutika.’
After completing 2 years in the film industry, she took a long break of almost 19 years before returning in 2022 with the Tamil cooking show titled ‘Cooku with Comali’ as a contestant and winning the show.
